Jarritos Loyalty Program

As Lead Designer for the Jarritos loyalty program, I was responsible for shaping a fun, intuitive, and data-driven experience that engaged fans of the beloved Mexican soda brand while unlocking valuable insights for the business.

I led the design of a fully functional mobile and desktop application that allowed Jarritos customers and vendors to interact through a rewards program. Users could scan QR codes on Jarritos bottles or participate in sponsored activities to earn points—affectionately called bones—in the process. The app included a user profile with a digital wallet tracking bone balances, a rewards marketplace where users could redeem bones for exclusive merchandise or NFTs, and a detailed activity history to ensure transparency and build trust. Similar to a Dasher app for DoorDash, a vendor app was created to track user data and engagement. To make onboarding seamless, I designed an engaging landing page where users could quickly enlist in the loyalty program, learn how it worked, and get excited about upcoming promotions. Understanding the importance of analytics to the brand, I also designed an internal admin dashboard for the Jarritos team. This portal enabled marketing and operations teams to view user activity, event check-ins, redemption trends, and geographic engagement data—turning individual scans into actionable business intelligence. This program blended fan engagement with real-world value for the business, and my end-to-end design approach helped bring that vision to life—from bottle to backend.
