Raise App Refresh and Brand Redesign

Raise was a gift card marketplace where users could buy gift cards at a percentage cash back and re-sell them. Over time however, the app had become frequently buggy and the infrastructure became dated and hard to manage. The original Raise interface was created to be a wallet and a marketplace. Created in 2017 and up kept by various design teams. I was tasked with rebuilding this Raise first needed a rebrand, the existing identity and app had grown outdated. In parallel, an entirely new platform was built from the ground up. The new Raise app functions as an e-commerce platform supporting both at-home and point-of-sale purchases, with the flexibility to pay using cryptocurrency or traditional payment methods. A CMS was also implemented to enable the marketing team to easily create and manage promotions. Creating an app that is tailored to drive conversion through integrated marketing and ease of use, Raise not only retained 98% its users but has boasted record sales since launch. As of 2026 there are now 6.5mm users on this Raise app!

In an effort to aid affiliate marketing the shop tab was made to be modular. Each piece of real estate is utilized to either suggest algorithmically brands for the user to purchase or to feature a brand the marketing team is running a campaign on. In addition, there is more of a sense of unity amongst brands as their styling now utilizes full bleed
color tiles. In the old app there was no way for the marketing or support team to reach the user. To solve this gap in communication a message center was created with multiple message styles.
